Club Development
The club is always looking towards the future and this section of the website will update you on any club developments.
At the start of the 2009 calendar season three new artificial grass courts were laid and the club are know in the process of installing the latest low level American style floodlights with a completion date of the second week in April!
The club has obtained planning permission for a large extension to the lounge with a viewing gallery overlooking courts 1, 2 and 3. This is a large project that will include a new bar and complete re-decoration of the lounge
Partnerships
As you can see from the homepage, the club launched a partnership programme for 2006/2007 to enable local successful businesses to partner with the club for mutual benefit.
We hope that club members will support our partners whenever possible.
The club has been careful in choosing parteners and whole heartedly endorses their services and products.
Competitive update
Tennis
Fylde League:
Men:
After a close contest with Penwortham the men's first team finished runners up in division one.
The men's third team, fourth team and fifth team all gained promotion.
Ladies
The Ladies' second team had a highly successful season and gained promotion.
Juniors
The Girls won their division after a competitive season and their success was matched by the boys' under 14 squad
Squash
Currently we are out of season but there are several initiatives starting on the squash front as follows:
Club Night started 7-8pm on a Friday evening, all welcome.
New Group Junior coaching session 12-1pm on a Saturday.
Ladies Squash Coffee mornings 9-10am on a Monday.
We're going digital!
The club is soon to go digital with the introduction of freeview in both the main bar area and the gym. This will enable the club to access the extra channels ensuring members can enjoy all the action in the bar over a few tipples.

Showtime for Derek Woodman BMW
Derek Woodman BMW are pleased to announce the relocation of its dealership to a new state of the art development on Whitehall Business park, Blackpool, only one minute from junction 4 off the M55.
The 5.2 acre site boasts the biggest selection of approved used BMW’s in the
North West , around 150 in all with over 100 displayed on site. The new car showroom currently has twelve new models on show.
The site is one of the first in the to feature BMW’s new European corporate architecture, with sleek lines and a striking exterior. The showroom features a new customer café bar area with wireless internet connection, large plasma screen and a fun play area for younger children.
Derek Woodman are one of the first dealerships to be introducing a consultation lounge, fitted in wood and leather, for new car buyers where customers are able to view different specifications and make their selection in comfort.

Social Activities
The Club has a vibrant and lively social section led by our Social Organisers Chris Kidd and Jill Fernandez.
There are usually at least six organised large social events each year as well as smaller events arranged by the tennis and squash members of the Club.
The Club has a bar and a lounge area where members and their guests are able to either relax or party and enjoy drink at much reduced prices.
We have a large screen TV to watch those “edge of the seat” Wimbledon matches the Brits put us through and a pool table for some après tennis/squash competition.
The bar is open every evening and is available for hire for private functions. As well as room hire we offer a comprehensive catering service through our outside catering partner Café Aroma. Menus and prices for this can be found by using the web-link on the partners section of our home page.
Further details and booking arrangements can be done through the Club Manager, who can be contacted each morning Monday to Friday at the club.
